A discussion about homelessness and affordable housing in the valley with Human Services Campus Executive Director Amy Schwabenlender and Jackson Fonder, the CEO at UMOM. They discussed the numbers of unsheltered people living on the streets of Phoenix, the growing waitlist for services for families experiencing housing issues and how a new product called “Sprung Structures” could provide viable solutions.
Members of the leadership team from Mercy Care: Christie Macmurray, Heather Brown and Tenasha Hildebrand took part in the second action panel of the evening. They talked about how the COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated job loss, housing concerns, substance abuse and other behavioral health issues and how Mercy Care is stepping up to assist those in need.
