At any given time, thousands of Arizonans are waiting for a lifesaving organ transplant. The Donor Network of Arizona works tirelessly to inform the public about the crucial need for organ donation and register new donors.
Since the pandemic hit, donor registration has decreased to due to new protocol at the MVD where most donors sign up. Media Relations Coordinator Nico Santos joined us to talk about the challenges due to the pandemic and how you can help.
