Mary Jane Rynd, President and CEO of Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust, joins us to talk about the emergency grants the trust has issued to nonprofits in Maricopa County since the beginning of the pandemic.
To date, the trust has funded almost $11.5 million in emergency grants to multiple organizations and health systems in need here in our community.
Mary Jane also discussed the passing of Mike McQuaid who dedicated his life to the plight of the homeless in Phoenix. The Piper Trust had a great relationship with Mike and The Human Services Campus over the years and even honored him with their first ever Encore Career award.
