Delta Dental of Arizona recently made a $500,000 donation to 23 federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) across the state. Realizing the impact of COVID-19, DDAZ distributed the funds for care beyond dental as they saw the need to help cover medical costs for patients with the virus, PPE, food for patients, cleaning supplies and more. Additionally, as the transition back to school will be out of the ordinary this year, DDAZ is making sure children are still learning about the importance of oral hygiene.
Barb Kozuh, Director of Community Benefit for DDAZ, shared information about numerous activities for children to learn about oral hygiene virtually.
